	 1: Selecting roots   
	Select the heatly , mature and fresh harvest cassava roots
	 2: Cassava Cleaning of garri processing 
	Clean cassava roots  to remove sand and other dirts. 
	 3: Peeling and washing 
	Peel the roots and remove the stalk,woody tips and any fibrous roots . Mechanical peelers are available in medium to large scale processing .
	 4: Grating
		Grate roots properly in clean  grater to obtain uniformly smooth mash.
	
	 5: Dewatering
	Pack the grated cassava mash into a clean bag,  Press the sack using a  hydraulic press to remove excess water .
		 6:  Frying 
	
		Fisrt sieving the wet cake into small pieces – known as grits – and then  frying the grits in a hot frying tray or pan to form the final dry and crispy product.
	
		Step 7: Sifting
	Using a simple sieve, sift the milled flour to remove fibrous materials and any lumps. This is important to obtain high-quality free-flowing flour.
Step8: Packing
Pack the cassava flour into bags for stock or sale.
